kizzle6429, Oh wow that's pretty far lol but at least there is an Amtrak station near you, that's convenient xD I just looked at the thread where it said "Disney Cosplayers?" and it looks like no one has arranged a meetup yet >.< my mistake... got the meetup confused with the one for Otakon lol But maybe there will be a meetup, I can't imagine why there wouldn't be, there are always a good number of Disney cosplayers wandering around. I just looked at the stats for AB and Otakon, they both have attendance over 10,000 people (Otakon last year had 30,000 people there) o___o I was not expecting those kinds of numbers. So I guess this convention is roughly the size of AnimeNEXT which was my local con in NJ

Well particularly there's going to be a Steam Powered Giraffe fandom meet up at the autograph signing, and I'll be singing a parody song with a group. Also I'll be meeting them at an autograph signing, and panel which will showcase my costume. Also on Friday there's going to be formal ball, and my Spades Slick costume is just the right one to use for that event.

My friend and I (males) are planning on attendting if we can find a couple more people to carpool to the event and room with. We are interested in splitting gas and a cheap hotel room. Highly unlikely but I thought I'd ask anyways, are there any other pirates or characters from Pirates of the Caribbean going to this convention?

I just searched Wentzville Renfaire and he showed up immediately. He's their official Jack Sparrow I think. And yea, them Jack Sparrow impersonators are really awesome! I wish I had the proper looks to be a convincing Jack Sparrow. I don't look like Depp (obviously) so it is harder for me to be hired. I've done a couple of events, but I don't do nearly as many as other Sparrows Alright then, I'll hopefully run into you on Saturday, although you may see me on Friday too who knows xD

If you drive from those hotels to the convention, then the $11 would still apply. If your hotel is close enough, it may be possible for you to walk to and from the convention and then you wouldn't have to pay for extra parking. So that may be another option for you.
