Can we make that into a masquerade ball? And for formal clothing.. Does that put restrictions on costumes that aren't, but look very similair to formal clothing
Another thing Is formal clothing more strict.. Will men be required to wear Suits, overcoats, ect.?????
I'd love it if you got on this post quickly please ^.^
ANSWERS! - The requirement is, and always will be "semi-formal" or "business casual". Many cosplays are OK - Alucard from Hellsing (he's wearing a suit Jacket) = Okay, for example. Not okay would be standard Naruto, for example (he's wearing a regular Jacket/Winter Coat), but a formal version could be okay.
In short, just remember: No Jeans, No Rave Outfits (EG Fishnets), etc. Most other things are okay. The classier, the better.
Do you have to be cosplaying a character to attend this event? Reason why I'm asking is because my husband and I are planning on going. I have a character I can cosplay for the formal ball but I'm not sure about him. We have formal clothes just no idea who he could cosplay as..specially since he doesn't really watch anime and I just now talked him into cosplaying as the punisher

I also don't think I would have enough time to make an outfit for him and myself in 2 months.
