Ahh I'm going with a friend of mine who is completely and utterly in love with Kingdom Hearts. I'm a fan of it too but I could never surpass her love for it. It would be great to meet up with you! Dos: Make some plans but be try to be spontaneous, talk to people, ask questions, and explore! Just be respectful and considerate of others and you should be fine for the most part. MAKE SURE YOU EAT AND DRINK! Quite a few tend to skip meals or not hydrate properly and that can lead to trouble easy peasy.

Congrats! The most important tips/advice I can give you is to be spontaneous. It's alright to have plans but for these kinds of events you tend to have a lot more fun going with the flow. If you have specific things you want to see, check the schedule and set a reminder. For panels, make note of ones you find interesting or think you would enjoy throughout the day. Panels are a good thing to go to if you're starting to feel tired from all the walking but still want to do something. Look around, try new things, ask questions, and feel free to chat people up. Most of the people attending are happy to converse with anyone.

So it is possible for me to take the train from Kenosha WI, to Chicago, and then make a connection to Rosemont? If so, that would be great! Then I wouldn't have to drive But if I do have to drive, how much is valet parking at the Hyatt? And can I use that service if I will only be there for the day?

I was thinking... why not start a rookie forum? I'm really new here and I could use specific information about sharing rooms, transportation to and from the convention and being a staff member. Or... is there a forum for that? >: D -Koalaty

I'm wondering if anyone else is going as some sort of sentai, kamen rider or power rangers cosplay. I know there's going to be two panels this year. (which is awesome). So maybe if there's enough people interested / cosplaying we could do some sort of mini meet up for photos and that sort of thing? I'm planning on going as Luka from Gokaiger all three days.

Any other Jack Sparrows or POTC impersonators/cosplayers attending Anime Midwest this year? If so.. we should organize a photoshoot/meetup.

Sounds like you are planning to handle this responsibly and respectfully. I would say to just use it for the costume competition or any photoshoots you plan on attending, and then not use it when you are generally wandering around the con. Carry a reference pic with you too so that you can show what the character looks like and that the wheelchair is actually just a prop.

There was an awesome turn out from this fandom at ACen last month. Are there any Dangans planning on going to Midwest? I'll be going as Naegi from the original game.

Is there for sure an Ask Panel? I will be either 2P!Nyo America,Nyo South Italy,or Liechtenstein. But If there isn't,Let me know,I don't want to show up for something that isn't going to happen.
