G'day!

No, I'm not Australian, but it got your attention, didn't it? Anime Midwest will be my second convention, my first being ACen. Some of my favorite anime include Angel Beats, Death Note, Durarara, and Steins Gate. I'll definitely be cosplaying Urahara from Bleach, though I might do Okabe from Steins Gate as well, as long as I don't get mistaken for a crappy Stein from Soul Eater like I did at ACen. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people, seeing some cool cosplay, and checking out some panels. Oh! I'm also super excited to see the Pillowcases. I love FLCL! But enough about me, tell me about you.

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Steins Gate recently. What parts caught your interest? I'm really excited to see the Pillowcases and Steam Powered Giraffe! FLCL is one of my favorite animes. I'm Jaclyn, I love robots and science. I enjoy making odd crafts, reading/finding old books, exploring, etc. For the convention I'm making the helmet of the robot in my icon and plan on passing out notes to people.

Robots, huh? By chance is there a Transformer in your list for the future? I plan on making a Starscream costume sometime when I have the time for it! And as far as SG goes, I'd would definately say that Feiris is my favorite part of the series. MEW!

I highly recommend Steins Gate. It goes between light and funny and heavy and psychological, and I think it balances both pretty well. The characters are dynamic and interesting, and the story has more than its share of twists and turns. If any of that sounds good to you, I'd say check it out.

Ahhhh kandy is the Starscream going to be the first costume you made or just your first robot costume? I'm actually making the helmet of a transformer for this convention, Drift from the More Than Meets The Eye comics (which is my icon). After I finish the helmet part I'm going to make a weapon and maybe one day I'll go full Drift. Yup, Steins Gate sounds like my kind of thing.

Oh no it is definitely not my first cosplay. It would be my second transformers costume. Unfortunately I do not have any pics of my first, which was Kup from the animated movie.

WOOAH WOAH THAT'S REALLY AWESOME!! I've never seen or heard of anyone making Kup costumes even though he's such a cool character. What kind of material did you use for it??
