I'm not sure if it was Midwest, but last year I remember there being a part of the con that had a Pokemon gaming room, or even a tournament. I was hoping there would be some kind of Pokemon gaming thing going on. If there isn't one going on officially, is anyone planning on organizing their own?

So fairly new to meeting people at the con, when I usually go I stay to myself with me and my friends and take a few pictures if anyone ever wants one. Though, this year I want to experience more of AnimeMidwest and what it has to offer. I've only been to one or two panels and I've never been to any of the side events, aside from the gaming ones. I'm looking for some people who are cool with maybe hanging for a day and letting me tag along with them, maybe? I'm 17, male, and my biggest conversation has to be maybe Pokemon. I'll be accompanied by either a friend of mine or my brother if that's okay. Though, I'm also completely up for talking about new things that others enjoy.

If the offer to hang is still up, I'll be there all three days (in cosplay) and I love pokemon so I'd be glad to hang and talk.

Right on. Most of the restricted panels start after hours (10pm and so on). However if you are unsure about an even during the day the schedule provided online can tell you. Lap they will get a booklet at con with a map, and schedule of events that will say if they are not old enough to go to. They will check badges for these types of events. I hear they are using the scan code on the badges to check badges.

In the past yes. I have had a print off of Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) signed before my J. Michael himself ^^. The rules may change though, since allot of issues with copyright stuff has been floating around. Just try and print off a picture of the character that is not of someone elses creation (I.e. stay clear of Deviant Art). When in doubt, Vendors hall is bound to have some powers/wall scrolls/ books/ ect. for fairly cheap. Hope that helped!

Hello! I know that I am late, and you may have already found out, but Anime Midwest is INDEED hosting karaoke this year! It is listed on the letter that I (and anyone else that ordered and badge) received!!

Worst comes to worst they have you return it to your hotel room. Looking forward to seeing your cosplays!

OK so Im a little bit desperate to make it to this con but I dont have a way of getting there and busses take way too long to be honest I live in the east side of madison and im more than willing to contribute to gas payment so if im on the way for you definitely let me know I wont take up much space either, thanks!
