Panel: Masque of the Red Death Saturday: 11:00 pm - 12:30 am I wanted to share some information about a panel event I am hosting at Anime Midwest called 'Masque of the Red Death.' This is a social elimination game for 10 to 30 players and based off the Edgar Allan Poe short story of the same name. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1wYahdvkxo I've ran this game at GenCon and Origins last year and it went over very well. There are a lot of rules, but they are mostly intuitive and players pick up on the basics within a few minutes. Given the 90 minutes we have for the panel, we probably have time for two games. The premise: Players are guests at Prince Prospero's lavish masquerade. But some players serve the Red Death and are trying to eliminate as many other playeras as possible by getting them cast out of the party or simply killing them. The other team is attempting to cast the Red Death out of the party before everyone succumbs to the plague. In addition to these team goals, each player has an individual goal to achieve and a variety of powers and abilities to assist them. For example, they may have a vendetta against another character or are searching for a certain treasure. What is unique about Masque of the Red Death is that players are never fully eliminated from the game, they may simply obtain a status that limits them. Frozen in place by a spell? That's only temporary. Cast out of the party? You can possibly bribe your way back in. Dead? Perhaps a necromancer can make you 'undead'. You can see a list of character roles on my website (http://www.experimentalgamer.com/masque-red-death/) and reserve on in advance if you like. Just DM me your choice and keep it a secret.

My first time going as well. Also going to be by myself, wanted to cosplay to make it less awkward by myself but probably not going to get that done in time. I hope I meet some fun people there too.

Hello there! I figured there's very little of a chance this might actually happen.. But I recently began watching Utawarerumono and there were these two girls/twins that I found very pretty and quite easy to cosplay. I was wondering if any girl would like to cosplay them with me, you'd be able to pick which one you'd like to be as well. Thank you for your time! http://www.freesmileys.org/emoticons/tuzki-bunnys/tuzki-bunny-emoticon-040.gif Here's some pictures of them: http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/utawareru/images/5/59/Saraana_and_Uruuru_Game_Portrait.png/ https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CW-W3WSUEAAoyjL.jpg https://40.media.tumblr.com/0c8f7ad2ba03c51b293fad339716f887/tumblr_nyawib9ldk1ug9n7io1_500.jpg

Some people do get to the Hyatt Hotel on Thursday to try and familiarize themselves with the layout so they know where everything is, but most people don't arrive until Friday.

Check with con staff upon arrival. There is always the chance his badge was found and turned in. He would need some id.
