Hello! so, i'm generally new to these anime conventions. i've never been to one, even though i've always wanted to. so i was able to push around a little, and was able to get my parents to agree after awhile. Any little tidbits on what i'm to expect? I want to cosplay as well, so any info on that? I'm so new, it hurts.. T^T But thanks for any help!

Hello there! This con will be my 2nd con and i would like to say you should expect to meet lots of people and have an open schedule (plan some events but allow time to walk and mingle)! as for cosplay, pick one of your favorite tv shows/animes/webcomics and pick a more simple character (seeing as you only have like 17 days left) and look up tutorials or go thrift shopping to help make the cosplay to ur liking. i hope you have fun at the con!

Wow, my computer isn't allowing me to post on here, not sure what it looks like on your end guys but I am so sorry if I keep repeat posting (wow that must be obnoxious, I've tried reposting like 10 times :( ). Does anyone else here have ATT U Verse and have problems with their internet? Welcome to the wonderful world of anime conventions! This is my first time going to this convention and going to a con alone without knowing anyone out here (I moved out here from the Northeast lol), so I am kinda in the same position as you. Anyways, You should expect to walk around a lot, you will want to visit the dealer's room and artist's alley (you will probably pass through these areas of the convention multiple times), and you might even choose to attend a special event or panel while you are there. Also you'll want to allot at least $30-40 per day for food, convention food can be kinda pricey, but if you can you should try and find a restaurant around the convention center to eat at, the food will be better and at least you'll get more for your money. As for cosplay, if you are getting a costume together you will need to choose a character really soon and since you really only have a couple weeks left before the convention, I think your best bet will be to search in the thrift store for items that match your character's clothing closely, you can always modify the items to make them more accurate. But for future conventions, you will want to allow for 1-3months to get a costume together, that way you'll have time to wait for an ordered costume to come in or you will have plenty of time to construct your own costume, find and style a decent wig, gather all the accessories etc. Also if you see me come and say hi! I would love to meet new cosplay friends out here. xD Feel free to message me on facebook / sweeneythebarber if you have anymore questions and I will get back to you very quickly, I basically live on Facebook lol

Hello there! You are definitely in for some fun with new exciting people. I started going to conventions years ago and it becomes addictive! Hope to see you around!

Hi, my name is Anne and I'm new to cosplay and this will be my first time to attend the convention in July 2014. I already have a costume. I just want to know if cosplayers attend all 3 days of the convention and wear the same outfit for 3 days? I'm going with my gf. I'm really excited to attend and meet new people.

It's totally okay to wear the same cosplay for all 3 days! I'd say just make sure it's fairly clean because you wouldn't want to keep wearing a sweaty cosplay. Have fun!
