First Time at a convention

Sorry if something similar has been asked. I have never been to a convention before and was really considering going alone this summer. I wanted to cosplay as Marin Kitagawa(im male). I am super nervous about attending. How accepting are people? Any tips on how to make friends? Any other advice? Thanks in advance

Im looking for a specific vendor that was doing tattoos but i cant seam to find them or anything relating to the location of any vendor would anyone happen to know the name of the vendor im looking for or have a list of the vendor locations

When are badge picks able to be picked up because my friend and I wanted to get ours this Saturday but our other friend said we wouldn't be able to get our badges because the place wont let us?? Please can someone help! Thank you!

I accidentally bought a weekend Badge for Anime Midwest when I meant to only buy the pass for Saturday. I won't be able to go the other 2 days. Is there any way to get a refund for the weekend pass and then buy a Saturday-only pass?

On the venue layout/map, on W. Bryn Mawr Ave. toward the top right is the words "Meetup". I was looking for the Marvel meetup as well and this is what I found. :)
