Anime Midwest staff needs to personally zip-tie it. Unless there's done special way to zip-tie it that you know, then they can provide you with zip-ties.
If it can't be zip-tied because there's nothing that will secure the sheath, then you'll have to leave it in your room, in your car, or at home

To put it short, I will be driving 5 hours from Wisconsin to AMW.
I plan on arriving thursday so I can get a night's sleep in, but my room doesn't open til friday.
If anyone would be kind enough to let me crash on a couch or something for the night, I would be very thankful!

Agreed, early! Now the area to get your badge May not be open at, let's say, 9 but there will more than likely be a line forming for those waiting to her their badges.
Just plan your time accordingly. If there is a panel or something you want to see Saturday morning/afternoon just make sure you arrive early enough to be sure you have your badge by then.
