Non anime cosplay?

lpdixon
I was planning on do a weeping angel cosplay, but it seems like the convention is more geared to anime and manga. So do you think it's okay if I still wore it?

That is totally okay, at least in my eyes. I'm dressing up as Ariel which isn't really anime at all.

Of course that's okay! (: Conventions aren't just limited to anime/manga cosplay, so you can dress up as anything you want to.

Thank you so much for asking! My friend and I are considering doing Lady Loki and Thor, but we had the not-anime reservation..

You guys have awesome cosplay plans! Go for it! As far as I have noticed, pretty much anything goes at Anime Cons. I'm going to be Captain Jack Sparrow for this con and he is definitely not from anime lol People love to see cosplays from different genres and as a side note, I am sure you will find a fair amount of Doctor Who cosplayers so maybe you can attend a meet up.

I'm dressing up as Spades Slick from Homestuck, The 11th Doctor from Doctor Who, and The Spine from Steam Powered Giraffe. All non anime related, but planned/ready costumes to wear at con, which is a lot of fun.

Hey as long as you have fun cosplaying you should be able to dress however you want! I myself am doing something from World of Warcraft. :3
