First Con! Help!

Hello everyone! As this is my first convention that I have ever attended, I was wondering what I should expect while I'm at the con! Also, wondering what time to arrive at the con on Friday morning. Any help, tips, or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Hello! I promise you will have so much fun. I'm getting there 10-11 ish so I have time to get settled in to my hotel room ( we have it thurs-mon so i can get in earlier then most) then go wait in line to get my badge At 12 so I would make plans around then depending on your situation As for what to expect a lot of people. Most people are really nice so I'm sure you'll be fine. But every once and a while you will find a rude person just walk away they don't deserve your time Expect to be walking around a lot. My feet always hurt after cons. Expect to waiting around: when you line up for panels when getting food waiting for panels waiting for your badge. If you're cosplaying expect people to come up to you and don't be afraid to talk to them. If you're cosplaying expect people to want hugs and pictures I've also seen people getting really nervous when approaching cosplayers so if your cosplaying be ready for all of that and anything that can go wrong with your cosplay will. Being sewing stuff or hot glue or anything to get a quick fix in Please please please bring water!! If I had only one tip for you it would be to bring water not Gatorade or what ever else water I can not count the number of times I have gaven people water bottles because they where dieing. I always carry extra waters on me in case. Also small snacks and Advil just incase Carry extra make up if you're wearing it odds are you will sweat it off. I always carry a small backpack with me with everything I need in it BRING YOUR PHONE CHARGER you will need it my phone has died on me at cons and it was awful If you're not cosplaying wear good shoes Be nice to everyone. If some one says no to a picture or hug or what ever else respect that. I've said no to hugs before because I was wearing white the girl was very nice and understood. And I respect that so much. If getting a hug or a picture makes you uncomfortable Say no say you have to go some where or you don't like germs or just say no. It's okay to say no More on that ask before you hug some one Ask before you take some ones photo Ask before you touch a person Just ask Good luck and have fun

Everything said above me is great! Midwest is a really amazing convention with lots of great people. If you need any help at con just ask! The staff are amazing and the people (cosplayers) can often help you with directions and everything. I will have cosplay bingo on Friday and a raffle all weekend long so if you are interested in playing bingo for fun and possibly win some prizes through that and the raffle I have a video,on YouTube explaining how that all works I encourage you to check that out.
