Hello! I was wondering what kinds of costumes are acceptable for the contest. Can someone enter with a non-Japanese media costume like a disney princess or videogame character? Thanks!

A school issued,i.d. Will work for those underage. As for the contests/masquerade they have different categories. You should be just find entering a Disney themed cosplay

Just a general question. What are the hours for each date? I can't seem to find them on the website. Maybe i'm just not looking hard enough
ichiichobit
ianccornejo- Here are the hours for badge pick up: Badge Pickup Hours Thursday: 6pm - 9pm Only Pre-Reg Friday: 10am - 8pm Saturday: 10am - 6pm Sunday: 10am - 1pm If you were wondering more of a time for events happening each day I can tell you off hand things normally get going around 11AM or Noon on Friday (Vendors hall opens, early panels), Saturday first panels are typically at 9-10AM with vendors hall opening around 10AM, and Sunday Panels normally start around 9-10AM with vendors hall being open 10AM to about 4:00PM. You'll know for sure when they release the final schedule in a few days (Tomorrow maybe?!)

Sorry for asking (I really feel like a bother), but does the platinum pass get faster wait in line to the Masquerade? I was wondering because the one page with information on them doesn't mention anything about it. Is the Masquerade maybe considered a concert too? o. o

Question, do you know if there will be karaoke this year? It says under the events page that there will be, but upon looking at the schedule I don't see it listed anywhere. D: I certainly hope there is, my friends and I were really looking forward to it! It's our first Anime Midwest!

How do I add anime to my favorites? There is a tab that says "Anime" but when I search some anime, nothing comes up.

There are two way that I do it. 1. Being going to different users profiles and picking and rating the ones you want. 2. Being going to http://www.maiotaku.com, sign in with your AM username and password, and search there. These of course probably aren't the only ways, but they are the only ways i know of.

pastachanmeow- The Masquerade is considered a main event, not really a concert. However they do have those that do performances and not just walk on stage. I cant answer the platinum badge question because I have never had one. But, and I am just assuming here, those with those badges should be ushered to the front of any lines at Midwest. Usually staff walks the line and calls for Platinum badge holders to move them up in the line, but I can't say if this will be done for that event. kylegump1- There should be karaoke! They have had it every year I have gone, in various areas though. I didnt see a set place on the events for it but you won't have any trouble finding it once at con. You can check the booklet you will get when you pick up your badge and they should list the 24 gaming area as well as the place where karaoke will be held. When in doubt as to where that location is if listed in the booklet ask staff, or find me! I know the area pretty well ^^

Malachite- Add anime to your favorites on what? Your profile here? Or on a website?
