Have a question? I may be able to help!

Nope! Completely free! They should have a list of what to wear and don't wear. Many people wore formal dresses, prom dresses, normal, and even cosplay dresses/gowns. It's completely fine to wear a big poofy dress. I don't really go to raves so I'm sorry that I'm not able to answer that. I understand the whole sense of directions things since Midwest had attendees rely on their direction skills and sense of exploring around their surroundings instead of putting up signs. You can ask a staff for directions.

When you register can you use a high school ID? Because I have some high schoolers coming with me. Or do they need another type of ID?
leromun
Any Photo ID is acceptable. School ID, Drivers license, Passport, State ID, anything. Even if you don't have a School ID, you can still bring in your receipt of preregistering for your badges.

It is my first time going to one of these events. When will I be able to buy one day tickets? Also, besides the ramen and Mt. Dew, will there be other foods there? And do.they have booths where they sell anime stuff? I am not really sure what to expect.

You can purchase a one day badge at the convention on the day of your choosing. They will have a line so be sure to arrive a little early and be prepared to wait if the lines are busy. Over in the convention center there is a Starbucks (drinks and bakery items only) and a small snack hut (hotdogs, pretzels, so on). If you don't mind a walk there is a restaurant across the street from the convention center, but be aware its a pricy place. Inside the Hyatt hotel there is a place to dine in, but I'm unsure of its hours of operation. Many bring food and leave it in the hotel rooms they booked. As well as make the walk down the road to dennys to eat. Anyplace else is a short drive. They have what's called a vendors hall, the hours it is open vary but usually its 10am to 5 or 6pm. You'll have to show your badge to be allowed inside. Once inside you'll find lots of items for sale. The area will be split between official vendors (they sell licenced anime/gaming gear) and artists ally (which is where attendees have purchased a table to set up and sell their homemade good). Happy you could join us this year! If you have more questions or would like to meet up at con to have someone to hang out with feel free to post or email me at happycosplayer@gmail.com

Idk if I should post a separate topic for this but, I and a friend had purchased some badges FAR in advance, (and I purchased them together in one go) but we realized recently that he might not be able to attend. Instead of requesting the refund with the 5 dollar deduct, I was wondering if there's any way that he might be able to replace his ID on his purchased badge to my other friend instead, or rather the ID associated to the badge could be changed or a special request be made that the person who would be attending that weekend has changed.

mylcreates- Normally when a badge is purchased they will only run off what is given information wise to said badge. However this con is pretty forgiving, and the staff do an absolutely amazing job helping out their attendees. With that said: contact Molly and let her know of the situation and request. Often if you email Molly she will not only help you out but go above and beyond to fix the issue. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Be sure when you email to let her know the name of the badge you are trying to change as well as the other details i.e address, email, name. I hope they can switch that around for you! If not sorry.

hello, this is one of my first times at this anime con..so i was wondering if you absolutely need an id. i lost my school id for my current age, which is just passable for going unaccompanied (15) so would it be alright if i used an id from my previous years?
ichiichobit
If you have a previous id with your she then AND a date on it that should be fine. It shows how old you were x years ago, and they can do the math to add it up to the current year. Just be sure to tell them your current id is lost/not issued/whatever (:

hey quick question about the masquerade! Any idea on how long it takes for a participant start to finish? I've heard at other cons it can be 5+ hours.. also is there a hall cosplay contest? I've never done one before and was thinking of giving it a try.
